SwissPlant Dental Implants Now Available |
|
The SwissPlant System represents the first line of implants designed for
insertion at tissue-level, bone-level or anywhere in between. This is
demonstrated in our surgical video. The
4.1mmD and 4.8mmD SwissPlant implants will offer surgical compatibility
with Straumann's drills in soft bone with an additional drill required
for dense bone. The 4.8mmD and 6.5mmD platforms are prosthetically
compatible with Straumann's abutments, having the same internal octagon
licensed to Straumann by Dr. Niznick (U.S. Patent # 4,960,381) and
an 8 degree lead-in bevel. In addition, they have an internal square for
engagement via the
color coded fixture-mount for insertion. The fixture-mount
also serves as a transfer and can be shortened for use as the final 5.5mm
high straight abutment. Each implant is packaged with a snap-on comfort
cap and 2mm healing collar for added value. Adding to the versatility
of the SwissPlant System is a 3.3mmD implant with a 3.7mmD platform and
a 5.7mmD implant with a 6.5mmD platform, all available in 5 lengths
including, a 6 mm long implant. The SwissPlant implants include
micro-threads and progressively deeper flat-based (Straumann) threads,
first developed for the ReActive implant, providing increased surface
area for increased stability in soft bone.

ReActive
Dental Implants |
The ReActive Tri-Lobe implant
combines a Nobel Replace compatible Tri-Lobe connection, an evenly tapered body for increased stability in soft bone and a round apex to guide the implant along the path of the prepared socket without deviation. The round apex also facilitates sinus elevation through the socket without tearing the membrane. In addition, the ReActive offers double-lead threads for faster insertion, micro threads for reduced stress in the critical crestal bone region and progressively deeper threads for increased surface area. The ReActive implant was added to Implant Direct's family of Tri-Lobe implants (RePlant and RePlus) following the introduction of the Nobel Active implant because Implant Direct believes that Nobel Biocare clinicians should not have to change platforms just to get deeper threads. With ReActive offering All-In-One packaging with a fixture-mount that can be used as a transfer and shortened to serve as a fully preparable abutment, dentists considering use of the Nobel Replace or Nobel Active implants can enjoy a 70% cost savings compared to Nobel Biocare's list prices for comparable components. While Nobel Biocare is advertising the Nobel Active as "The Implant of the Future" in spite of the fact that it uses a lead-in bevel/internal hex connection developed by Dr. Niznick in 1986 (US Pat. #4,960,381 - Expired 2007), we believe that the "Implant of the (Nobel Customer's) Future" is the ReActive implant for the reasons stated in a letter from Dr. Niznick to Mr. Scala, president of Nobel Biocare.
ReActive Dental Implants are now available for ordering world-wide.

Thousands of professionals world-wide have attended Dr. Niznick's lectures on "The Changing Realities Of Implant Dentistry". Recognizing the importance of this lecture, which challenges many of the current concepts of implantology, Dr. Niznick has created an online version of this lecture. We recommend that you view the entire lecture (1.5 hrs) in the order presented, but you can easily jump to a specific chapter or topic using the embedded navigator on the right-side of the screen.
