Nobel Biocare finally is updating NobelRePlace Tri-lobe implant to a conical (internal bevel) internal hex,
similar to the connection developed in 1986 by Dr. Gerald Niznick ( U.S. Pat.# 4,960,381).

Nobel Biocare is also introducing the same non self-tapping, Replace implant using one size smaller Tri-lobe
to create a platform shifting interface. Implant Direct's ReActive Tri-lobe Implants have offered this concept
since 2008 in more diameters and with a blasted, beveled external shoulder for bone overgrowth.

WARRANTY TO NOBEL BIOCARE CUSTOMERS USING IMPLANT DIRECT REPLANT™ ABUTMENTS

Implant Direct Sybron International will provide a free replacement implant and abutment for a failed Nobel Biocare implant used with an Implant Direct abutment if Nobel Biocare refuses to honor its warranty for that reason. An additional $500 product credit will be issued if the failed Nobel Biocare implant was not loaded prior to achieving osseointegration. A very small percentage of non-immediate load implant failures occur prior to abutment attachment so there is no justification for such refusal by Nobel Biocare, other than its desire to intimidate customers into buying its overpriced abutments.
