Dear Colleagues:
I want to wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year and to thank all of our customers for making 2011 an enormous success for
Implant Direct. During the last year, we transitioned from an entrepreneurial, privately-held company to a partnership with Sybron
Dental Solutions, a division of Danaher Corporation, a $20 Billion Fortune 500 company. As a result of this partnership, Attachments
International and Sybron Implant Solutions merged into Implant Direct, expanding the products and services we now provide. Together
we are committed to invest in the company's future expansion and success.
An important reason for Implant Direct's success is our high quality product line offered to the profession at reasonable prices.
Another reason is our 400 dedicated and knowledgeable employees committed to the success of our customers. In North America, we
were proud to be recognized by a Millennium Research Group Survey as having the highest level of Customer Satisfaction compared to
the 6 largest implant companies. The breadth of innovative and industry-compatible products offered by Implant Direct is clearly
demonstrated in the "Transforming the Implant Industry" brochure showing our journal ads throughout the year. The extensive clinical
applications that our products provide are detailed in the reprint of the 4-part clinical article series "The Changing Reality of Implant Dentistry." The reprint brochure also includes 3 independently published studies documenting a 98-100% success rate.
All of our implant products are made at our Los Angeles factory, which was named "The Shop of the Future" by CNC-West Machining Industry
Magazine in 2007. This factory houses 40 CNC machines running 24/7 with lights-out technology. On January 3, we open our new 18,000 sq. ft.
factory in Westlake, CA, 8 miles west of our current Calabasas factory. This new facility gives us the capacity to add another 28 CNC screw
machines to make implant components and 12 milling machines to make CAD-milled bars, custom abutments and surgical guides.
We are also preparing to open our new educational center in Las Vegas in January with seating for 50 doctors, each seat having its own
computer so that we can teach the use of image guided software systems. Our Las Vegas office also houses a fully functional 4-chair dental
office with Pelton Crane equipment, an ICAT machine from Image Sciences and an OP300 CT machine from Instrumentarium, three Danaher-related
companies. All Implant Direct, Attachments International and Sybron Implant Solutions products, including biologics, are now consolidated in our
Las Vegas distribution operation and available in our online shopping cart. We will soon commence with packaging operations as well in Las Vegas.
