One of the most neglected aspects of implant dentistry is provisionalization. Many practitioners want to jump right to final restorations once stage 2 surgery has been completed. Often the results are sub par, especially in the esthetic zone because the papilla have not been shaped or molded and the restorations often look less than perfect.
