The clinical success of an implant restoration is dependent on the soft tissue that frames it and on the bone volume surrounding it. As such soft tissue grafting and sinus grafting are essential skills for the advanced implant surgeon to master. This two day course will focus on soft tissue grafting and sinus grafting procedures. Attendee will learn these procedures in a step by step fashion through didactic lectures and hands-on with a pig specimen.

This course is designed for the General Dentist who is interested in learning more about basic surgical principles and protocols to initiate the process of placing implants. The goal is to empower dentists with the knowledge and confidence necessary to start a simple dental implant practice. After this course, participants should be able to develop their own protocol for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, surgical placement, and prosthetic restoration of single-tooth posterior implants. This immersive course includes lecture, hands-on typodont training and live surgical implant placement.

Implant therapy is one of the most successful treatment modalities in dentistry. This success is however not without potential complications. Implant complications can be minor and easy to correct while others can be major and lead to the loss of the implant. This course will review implant complications and discuss their etiology, prevention and treatment. This course will also review autologous growth factors (PRP, PRGF, PRF). Autologous growth factors are fast becoming routine adjuncts to surgical therapy. The benefits of autologous growth factors include accelerated wound healing, decreased morbidity and enhanced results. The course will feature didactic lecture and hands-on exercises for both autologous growth factors and treating implant complications.

Who Should Attend?

U.S. licensed dentists that want to learn the All on X dental implant treatment in a live surgical setting from expert instructors with several years of experience.  Attending dentists must have significant oral surgery and implant surgical experience. Dentists should have placed a minimum of 175 dental implants before attending this course.  Dentists should have didactic / hands-on training prior to attending course. Non-Arizona licensed dentists will need a temporary AZ dental license. This process takes 60 days from the Arizona Dental Board.
