Heartland Webinar Series: "Simple Implant Success: Diagnosing and Treatment Planning Fundamentals"

Register

Course description:

Whether you're getting ready for your first implant or you have already placed a few and want things to run more smoothly, this course gives you a clear, repeatable way to diagnose and plan single-tooth implants with confidence. Dr. Britt walks through his step-by-step workflow, from the clinical exam and CBCT through the digital wax-up and final implant position. You'll see how bone volume, soft tissue thickness, and key anatomy guide each decision. Along the way, Dr. Britt shares practical tips that make each case more efficient and predictable, starting with the final restoration in mind. This course is designed to get you started with simple implants and covers when an implant isn't "simple" anymore: comparing the anterior esthetic zone with the posterior molar implant placement, immediate versus delayed placement, and shows when grafting belongs in the plan.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, attendees will be able to:

 1) Identify ideal single-tooth implant cases and recognize which ones to save for later.

2) Follow a step-by-step diagnostic workflow, from exam and CBCT through digital planning.

3) Measure bone volume on a CBCT and identify key anatomy, including the nerve canal, mental foramen, and sinus floor.

4) Assess soft tissue thickness and keratinized tissue, and understand how each affects placement depth and long-term stability.

5) Choose implant diameter, length, and position based on the pre-planned restoration.
