Free Hand vs Guided Implant Surgery: Advantages and Limitations of Both Techniques (302) - EDU-060124
This comprehensive two-day course explores two approaches to dental implant surgery: free-handed placement and guided implant surgery utilizing CBCT imaging and 3D printed surgical guides. Through a combination of lectures, hands-on exercises/demos and clinical case studies, participants will gain a deep understanding of the advantages, limitations, and clinical applications of both techniques. This course is designed for the General Dentist who is interested in learning more about basic surgical principles and protocols to initiate the process of placing implants. The goal is to empower dentists with the knowledge and confidence necessary to start a simple dental implant practice. After this course, participants should be able to develop their own protocol for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, surgical placement, and prosthetic restoration of single-tooth posterior implants. This immersive course includes both lecture and hands-on typodont training.
