Classic LOCATOR® Attachment System 

 

The Classic LOCATOR® Attachment System (skus 6530-91-L, 8035-91-L, 4000-92-L) is the global standard for tissue-supported, implant-retained overdentures. Designed with a low-profile vertical height and self-aligning dual-retention mechanism, it restores patient masticatory function while accommodating divergent implant paths. 

  • Pivoting Denture Cap Design: Features a self-aligning male element that pivots inside the titanium denture housing to maintain full engagement and retention during movement, drastically reducing acrylic wear.

  • Up to 40° Divergence Correction: Standard and extended-range replacement males compensate for up to 20° of angulation per implant (40° total angulation between two implants) without requiring angled abutments. 

  • Customizable Retention Levels: Dual-retention replacement males are available in color-coded retention levels ranging from Extra Light (1.5 lbs) to Standard (5.0 lbs) for removable overdentures.

  • Implant Direct Platform Native Fit: Precision-machined for direct connection across Simply Iconic™, Legacy™, InterActive™, DIRECTarch™, and RePlant™ implant platform connections across cuff heights from 0 mm to 5.5mm depending on the platform.

The LOCATOR FIXED® Full-Arch Solution: 

 

Zero Screw Access Holes: Utilizes specialized rigid pick-up housings and high-strength inserts to snap the fixed full-arch prosthesis securely onto standard LOCATOR® abutments, eliminating screw-loosening complications and screw holes.

LOCATOR® Processing Tools & Core Accessories 

 

The LOCATOR® instrument family (skus:1000-96E-L, 2000-89) provides clinicians and lab technicians with purpose-built tools for placing abutments, removing retention inserts, and chairside processing. 

  • LOCATOR® Systems Enhanced Core Tool: Multi-functional ergonomic instrument with a pop-and-flip dual-sided insert driver designed for rapid insert seating, removal, and secure one-handed transport, compatible with both LOCATOR® Removable and LOCATOR FIXED® systems. 

  • LOCATOR FIXED® Removal & Seating Tool: Specialized lever-action removal tool (part number 2000-89) engineered for clinicians to smoothly unseat and seat LOCATOR FIXED® full-arch prostheses during hygiene maintenance appointments. 

  • Controlled Torque Seating Drivers: Latch-head and manual drivers ensure exact manufacturer-recommended torque delivery (30 Ncm) during final abutment seating into Implant Direct fixtures and 15Ncm to DIRECTarch multi-unit Abutments
